Performance Lab Flex is easily one of the best joint supplements on the market today. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to actually exist! This product has been OUT OF STOCK for months now. It went out of stock a while back and we were promised it would never go out of stock again, which clearly didn’t turn out to be true. A representative at Performance Lab told us this is an inevitable consequence of growth; not only is this stupid, but it means nothing to us, the end users. So despite having a good formula (albeit a little expensive for what it is), we cannot possibly recommend Performance Lab Flex to our users. It is also very expensive compared to most joint supplements.

CurcuWIN Turmeric – 250mg

Turmeric is a staple ingredient in joint supplements. So it should be; there is a mountain of clinical data showing that turmeric supplementation – in high enough quantities – dramatically reduces inflammation and alleviates joint pain. It is the curcuminoids in turmeric which give it all its health-promoting properties. Of these, curcumin is the most powerful.

Curcumin supports better joint health and flexibility in a number of different ways: fighting free radicals which damage your cells and erode your joints; promoting cartilage growth and repair; modulating inflammatory enzymes like COX-2 and destructive enzymes like MMP, and more. Some studies have even found that large doses of curcumin can reduce advanced glycation end-products, which is what causes the stiffening of the joints that comes with age.

Performance Lab Flex uses CurcuWIN – a highly potent turmeric extract. CurcuWIN has been specially formulated to be super bioavailable; 46 times more bioavailable to be exact. CurcuWIN is  20% curcuminoids, with ratios the same as fresh turmeric. This really is cutting-edge stuff. It doesn’t get any better.

ApresFlex Boswellia serrata – 100mg

Alongside curcumin, Boswellia serrata is one of the two core, staple joint supplement ingredients. Every modern, high quality joint supplement should contain a decent serving of Boswellia serrata extract.

Boswellia is a unique source of compounds called boswellic acids. Recent research has found that boswellic acids can inhibit the function of the enzyme 5-Lipoxygenase. This enzyme breaks down cartilage over time. By inhibiting this enzyme, boswellic acids protect your cartilage from degradation, keeping your joints safe and functioning properly throughout life.

Performance Lab Flex uses a Boswellia serrata extract which has been refined to provide 20% AKBK. This is the boswellic acid most effective for improving and protecting your joints. Several clinical trials have found that 100mg of high-AKBK extract can dramatically reduce pain scores in people with knee problems such as osteoarthritis.

Glucosamine sulfate 2KCL – 500mg

Glucosamine is an amino sugar found in large quantities in the tissues that constitute and surround your joints. High concentrations of glucosamine in your cartilage, tendons, ligaments, and the surrounding fluid which keeps your joints lubricated. Declining levels of glucosamine will contribute to erosion of your joints and decreasing flexibility. If you’re worried about joint wear-and-tear, glucosamine is a must!

Rather than using shellfish – like most supplements – Performance Lab Flex uses corn as its source of glucosamine. The Glucosamine sulfate 2KCL in Flex is readily absorbed and utilised by the body. The 500mg serving is very generous; clinical trials have reported serious benefits using less!

Mythocondro – 100mg

Mythocondro is a branded form of Chondroitin sulfate. This molecule is extremely important for your joints.

The reason chondroitin is useful is because it is negatively charged. Basically, chondroitin is woven through your cartilage – or rather, the empty space surrounding them. It attracts water molecules and holds onto them. In doing so, chondroitin keeps your cartilage lubricated, provides some shock absorption, and promotes the growth and repair of existing cartilage cells.

Anyone who regularly does high-impact cardio like running, sprints, or jumping should consider using chondroitin to help alleviate impact damage.

Performance Lab Flex uses Mythocondro. This is an extremely potent form of chondroitin. It is over 40% more bioavailable than the next best form of chondroitin. On top of that, it is the only vegan form of chondroitin. Most forms contain animal by-products such as pig or even shark cartilage. Yet another example of Performance Lab spending more money to provide a superior product.

OptiMSM – 100mg

Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) is a vital structural component of most of your connective tissues and your cartilage. It is actually one of the necessary nutrients for the formation of glucosamine, chondroitin, and cartilage. This makes it a fundamental building block of your joints, and a crucial nutrient for maintaining joint function.

Upping the availability of mtheylsulfonylmethane through supplementation is a great way to improve flexibility, slow down the degradation of cartilage, and protect your joints from wear-and-tear.

MSM has been widely used in joint supplements for some time; it is safe, reliable, and effective. Some clinical trials have noted that it is effective for reducing pain and inflammation in people with knee problems.

NutriGenesis Strontium – 300mcg

Strontium is not found in your run-of-the-mill joint supplements. Few manufacturers seem to understand how important strontium is for maintaining motility and flexibility. It is particularly important to consider as you get older.

This is an absolutely brilliant supplement for your joints. As far as we’re concerned, Performance Lab Flex is the single best flexibility, motility and joint health supplement currently on sale.

For each ingredient, Performance Lab Flex uses the purest, most potent, highest value form in existence.

Most joint supplements contain some turmeric because of its anti-inflammatory properties.

In our opinion, Performance Lab Flex is a high-quality joint supplement.

It contains several quality ingredients tha have been clinically proven to ease joint pain, increase flexibility and protec joint health over the long-term. Importantly for us, Flex promotes flexibility and joint health in multiple different ways at once.

The fact that you get total joint support for just $1.63 per day is incredible. Few join supplements offer this kind of value for money, even if it is slightly more expensive than a lot of other products on the market right now.

However, there are some serious issues with this product.

The biggest problem with Performance Lab Flex is stock. Unfortunately, due to manufacturer incompetence, this product is perpetually out of stock. The chronic stock outages aren’t likely to end any time soon. We asked someone at Performance Lab what was causing the stock outage, and a representative told us that they believe it is a consequence of growth. When a company sees stock outages as inevitable when moving such modest amounts of product, they’re clearly not going to address the problem.

Worse still, we have heard from dozens of people who ordered Performance Lab FLex months ago and are yet to receive their product, a refund, or even any communication from Performance Lab about the missing order.

We cannot recommend a joint supplement to our readers that only exists in theory.It doesn’t help you, the end user, find pain relief or joint support.

Performance Lab Flex sure looks good on paper, but until it actually exists, we think you are better of taking joint supplements that can help provide joint pai relief right now.

    When you are in constant pain all you want is the magic potion that will take it away. Unfortunately Relief Factor is not it. I tried their trial and took as directed. Did not feel one bit of relief. Shame on them for preying on vulnerable people looking for relief.

    It is now 4:23 am. I woke up with the usual chest/back pain, and decided to continue my research to find an alternative to Relief Factor. My brother and I both tried Relief Factor and we both swear by it, but the $90.00 per month price angered me, and I’ve been trying alternatives which don’t seem to work. I bought Turmeric powder, and a capsule machine. I take the capsules with fish oil, but it hasn’t been working. Just my 2 cents.

    Boswellia serrata is frankincense. The Indian version of it. Frankincense has been used to reduce pain and swelling for several thousand years. Available everywhere supplements are sold.

    Glucosamine/Chondritin/MSM is available everywhere. Even my grocery store has a house branded “triple strength” bottle. Inexpensive.

    While this product may use “super tumeric” 43 times more bioavailable, every other turmeric/curcumin supplement out there adds piperine, which is an extract of black pepper. That makes it 2000 times more bioavailable.

    You can find strontium supplements. They are frequently used for osteoporosis. There is a form of it called strontium ranelate which is prescription only, and only in Australia. It’s not for everyone; talk to your doctor.

    I’m not knocking this product. It’s got the right combination of stuff. But you can get other supplements that do the same thing.

    The website is now quoting the 4 box deal at $51.75 per box… that’s a significant increase in price.
