Mind Lab Pro is the most complete nootropic supplement we have ever come across. Its formula combines a dozen potent herbal extracts, amino acids and nootropics which improve everything from memory and focus to stress resilience and mood. It uses less ingredients than some of its competitors while delivering the same broad enhancements in cognitive performance and brain health. Mind Lab Pro is the real deal. Mind Lab Pro Review: The world’s leading nootropic?

If you’ve been researching nootropics online – specifically natural nootropic stacks – then you have definitely heard of Mind Lab Pro before now. Made by Opti Nutra, this cognitive enhancer first came onto the market a good few years ago, and it immediately generated a lot of buzz. It has since held the position of the most highly-rated, and one of the mist widely-used, nootropics in the world. Right now many sites have it as their number one rated nootropic, and if it isn’t number 1, then the sites will usually at least publish very positive Mind Lab Pro review.

So why did Mind Lab Pro make such a splash when it was launched? What sort of things does it claim to do?

Mind Lab Pro review

The official website lists a wide range of Mind Lab Pro benefits:

  1. Sharper focus
  2. Extended concentration
  3. Enhanced memory function
  4. Greater stress resistance
  5. Promotes creativity and verbal fluidity
  6. Faster reaction times
  7. Accelerated information processing
  8. Promotes brain cell growth and neuroplasticity
  9. Protects brain cells from damage

That is one extensive list of benefits for a natural nootropic. Most of the brain supplements on sale when Mind Lab Pro came onto the scene simply promised to boost energy and sharpen focus. Some more ambitious “brain pills” promised incredible cognitive enhancements, but they usually turned out to be useless junk.

This is why this brain booster became so popular so quickly. It’s why so many Mind Lab Pro reviews popped up online right after their launch – it represented a brand new proposition, and a higher class of supplement to what was currently on offer.

The question we need to answer is, does Mind Lab Pro deserve its reputation as one of the best nootropics on earth?

Or more simply, does Mind Lab Pro work?

Find out by reading our detailed review of Mind Lab Pro below. We look at ingredients, side effects, value for money, user testimonials, and how it compares to other nootropics on sale right now.

Why complete brain enhancement?

Unlike most competing nootropics, Mind Lab Pro is a complete cognitive enhancer. By design it aims to improve multiple different aspects of brain function at the same time. The idea is that by enhancing several different facets of cognitive function at the same time, you will see improvements in brain function well beyond the sum of the individual enhancements.

This is because your cognitive faculties feed into one another.

Increasing focus by 50% is great.

Improving memory retention by 50% would be wonderful.

But if you increase focus by 50% your memory retention will improve at the same time. Improving your memory retention will no doubt increase your ability to absorb information and keep it close ta hand (in your working memory), which makes focusing on complex things easier.

So by improving these tow things at the same time, you will actually see more than a 50% improvement in both memory and focus, as the two cognitive faculties are related.

The same goes for all the major brain functions.

Here is a graphical representation showing how the Mind Lab Pro formula hits every cognitive function, and how they are all interlinked:

Mind Lab Pro effects

We always take information from manufacturers of the best nootropic supplements with a pinch of salt. But Opti Nutra have done a solid job here of properly covering all bases and providing complete brain support.

This brings us nicely to the most important section of our Mind Lab Pro review; the ingredients. Let’s take a closer look at the Mind Lab Pro formula to see what’s actually on offer here.

Mind Lab Pro Ingredients

What are the ingredients in Mind Lab Pro?

To judge a nootropic we need to properly examine the formula.

Here is a list of the Mind Lab Pro ingredients:

  • Citicoline (as Cognizin) – 250mg
  • Bacopa Monnieri (full spectrum extract, 24% bacosides with 9 bioactives) – 150mg
  • Lion’s Mane Mushroom (full spectrum) – 500mg
  • Phosphatidylserine (as Sharp-PS Green from sunflower lecithin) – 100mg
  • N-Acetyl-L-Tyrosine – 175mg
  • L-Theanine (as Suntheanine) – 100mg
  • Rhodiola Rosea – 50mg
  • Maritime Pine Bark Extract (95% proanthocyanins) – 75mg
  • Vitamin B6 – 2.5mg (125% DV)
  • Vitamin B9 – 100mcg (25% DV)
  • Vitamin B12 – 7.5mcg (125% DV)

And here is an image of the label showing the Mind Lab Pro ingredients list along with doses, extract potency, and other ingredients:

Mind Lab Pro ingredients

We will no go through each ingredient individually. In each case, we’ll talk about what it does, how it works, and what the scientific evidence has to say. We’ll then go on to talk about the Mind Lab Pro formula as a whole.

Citicoline

Citicoline is probably our favorite nootropic. It is an absolute powerhouse when it comes to sharpening focus, speeding up information processing, and generally enhancing brain power. Citicoline is a cholinergic; it increases choline availability in the brain. This in turn increases the synthesis of acetylcholine, which is the most important neurotransmitter for executive cognitive functions. More acetylcholine means more brain power, which means total cognitive enhancement.

The Citicoline used in Mind Lab Pro is Cognizin. This is a highly potent, relatively expensive form of citicoline. So not only are you getting what is, in our opinion, the best cholinergic available, but you’re also getting the best version of that cholinergic. This is easily one of the most important Mind Lab Pro ingredients.

Bacopa monnieri

Bacopa monnieri has some of the most robust scientific backing of any natural nootropic currently used in supplements today. Clinical trial after clinical trial has shown that Bacopa monnieri reliably and significantly improves memory function. Tests show that taking 150-300mg of Bacopa monnieri extract for 6-12 weeks improves memory retention, recall speed, and accuracy. The effect is particularly pronounced in older people, or people struggling with mild cognitive impairment.

Of all the great ingredients in Mind Lab Pro, we are probably most impressed with the Bacopa monnieri. Opti Nutra use a unique extract which only provides the 9 bioactive bacosides. All punch, no waste – great stuff!

lion's mane

Lion’s mane Mushroom

Mind Lab Pro was one of the first nootropics to include Lion’s Mane Mushroom. Since then, most other brain supplements have followed suit. There’s a good reason for this: Lion’s mane mushroom is one incredibly effective nootropic agent!

Lion’s Mane Mushroom consumption promotes the release of a neurotrophic factor called Nerve Growth Factor (NGF). NGF modulates the growth, repair, and differentiation of nerve cells in the brain. If you release more NGF, then the rate at which you grow neurons will increase, as will the number of branches between neurons. The implications for cognitive function from this one Mind Lab Pro ingredient should be clear!

Phosphatidylserine

Phosphatidylserine (PS) is a phospholipid (basically a plant fat). It is a common nootropic stack ingredient because of the fundamental role it plays in promoting good cognitive function.

Basically, PS is a structural component of your brain cell membranes. Throughout your life, PS isn’t a concern; the body make sit and you consume some through soy and sunflower oil. But as you get older, PS levels decline, as does brain cell maintenance. Studies have shown a correlation between PS levels, PS supplementation, and cognitive performance. Phosphatidylserine might not be one of the most interesting Mind Lab Pro ingredients, but it will promote better brain function over the long term.

N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine

We think every brain supplement – every complete brain supplement that is – should contain a decent serving of Tyrosine. Studies have shown that consuming L-Tyrosine dramatically improves cognitive performance in situations which are stressful.

For example, one clinical trial found that people who took Tyrosine performed better than control in cognitively demanding tasks when placed under stressful conditions including sleep deprivation, loud noise exposure, and cold exposure.

The fact that Tyrosine is an ingredient in Mind Lab Pro really adds another layer to the nootropic. It makes it particularly useful for athletes who need to stay focused and clear headed during intense physical and mental strain. Tyrosine also makes Mind Lab Pro great for students who need to function on little sleep, or business executives who need mental clarity in stressful situations.

Theanine

Theanine is a staple nootropic ingredient. Its primary function is to counterbalance the effects of caffeine. Basically, theanine has a synergistic relationship with caffeine; it brings out its beneficial effects while reducing the severity of the bad effects. Combining theanine with caffeine is a fantastic idea if your goal is to achieve mental clarity, focus, and energy without the jitters or anxiety that comes from using caffeine alone. A great Mind Lab Pro ingredient, although not one that has many nootropic properties by itself.

Rhodiola rosea

Rhodiola Rosea

Rhodiola rosea is an anxiolytic. It naturally reduces anxiety, improves your stress response, and generally helps you feel calm, clear headed, and focused on the task at hand. It is backed by some very conclusive clinical trials. This is why Rhodiola rosea is such a common ingredient in high quality nootropics, including Mind Lab Pro.

Combining Rhodiola rosea with Tyrosine and theanine gives you complete stress and anxiety protection. If you have a stressful, cognitive demanding job, then Mind Lab Pro is probably a fantastic choice. Simply increasing focus and mental energy isn’t enough; you need to keep on top of stress and anxiety too!

Maritime Pine Bark

Maritime Pine Bark is another nootropic which really came to peoples’ attention as a Mind Lab Pro ingredient. Maritime Pine Bark is valuable as a nootropic because of its unique antioxidant profile; it is a plentiful source of proanthocyanins. These proanthocyanins easily cross the blood brain barrier. Once in the brain, they protect brain cells from free radical damage (known to cause long-term cognitive decline).

The proanthocyanins from Maritime Pine Bark are particularly useful in a nootropic because they also promote the release of Nitric Oxide. This increases cerebral blood flow through blood vessel dilation. So this Mind Lab Pro ingredient gives you increased oxygenation and cell protection – a double whammy!

BioGenesis B Vitamins

The B Vitamins are not the most exciting of the Mind Lab Pro ingredients, but they undoubtedly do a job. Getting a nice influx of B vitamins with your nootropic stack will promote higher energy levels, mental sharpness, and greater clarity first thing in the morning.

Having low levels of vitamin B12 is correlated with serous cognitive decline, so here again Mind Lab Pro is supporting good mental performance over the long-term.

What is BioGenesis?

All of the vitamins in Mind Lab Pro have been made by the manufacturer’s proprietary BioGenesis method. This involves “growing” vitamins on probiotic cultures in a laboratory.

By creating vitamins in this way, Opti Nutra give you something that is as close to nature as possible while also being more bioavailable than most vitamins available in supplements. The vitamins are not the most important ingredients in Mind Lab Pro, but they are among the most interesting!

What we like about Mind Lab Pro’s ingredients

We absolutely love Mind Lab Pro’s formula. We almost can’t believe that this nootropic came out so many years ago; it is easily the most well-balanced, comprehensive brain supplement on the market today.

It really does tick all of the boxes that we truly care about:

  • Brain cell protection – ✔
  • Increased focus – ✔
  • Enhanced memory function – ✔
  • Better cerebral circulation – ✔
  • Stress resistance and reduced anxiety – ✔
  • Neuroplasticity and long-term brain development support – ✔✔

The fact that Mind Lab Pro covers all of these bases with so few ingredients – just 12 in total – is absolutely astounding. It achieves more than some of its competitors do with double the amount of ingredients.

That is probably the biggest benefit of Opti Nutra’s brain supplement – it focuses on ingredient quality rather than quantity, which allows it to deliver total brain optimization with as few ingredients as possible.

More importantly, this total brain optimization is long-term in focus. Mind Lab Pro isn’t just a gaming nootropic or a study supplement. It isn’t a fast-acting focus booster or memory supplement that stops working after a few hours.

Its goal is to deliver long-term, lasting improvements in brain function.

If you’re looking for complete cognitive optimization and not just a quick energy and focus boost, then we highly recommend giving Mind Lab Pro a try. It is, in our opinion, the single best nootropic supplement in existence today.

What we dislike about Mind Lab Pro’s ingredients

Honestly, there isn’t really anything to dislike about this nootropic.

Mind Lab Pro’s formula is pretty watertight – it delivers total, comprehensive brain function support.

For us, this is everything we look for in a nootropic.

However, for some of you, this might not be enough.

One nootropic conspicuously missing from Mind Lab Pro is caffeine. Caffeine is used in most brain supplements on the market today. It is a fantastic cognitive enhancer. But Mind Lab Pro contains none.

Now, for us, that’s a bonus. We think caffeine is best consumed sparingly, and through delicious coffee!

But for a lot of you, caffeine is a must-have.

Aside from that, there really isn’t anything to complain about as far as the Mind Lab Pro formula goes!

So what about price?

Is Mind Lab Pro worth the money?

Mind Lab Pro Cost: Is it worth the price tag?

In a word, yes. We believe that Mind Lab Pro represents excellent value for money and a superb way to invest in your cognitive performance.

Mind Lab Pro is priced at $65.00 per bottle for US customers.

If you’re in the UK, a single bottle will set you back £40 (check the website for prices in your chosen currency).

For the ingredients you’re getting, that is not a bad price at all!

It works out at just over $2 per day.

That’s the price of a cup of coffee for total brain optimization – you can’t say fairer than that.

Things get significantly cheaper, however, when you buy more than one bottle of Mind Lab Pro.

Buying 3 bottle of Mind Lab Pro costs $195. You also get a free bottle when purchasing 3 at once.

So buying 4 bottles of Mind Lab Pro costs $195, or just under $49 per bottle.

This means you’re paying around $1.50 per day for complete cognitive enhancement.

If you put that in context, you’re paying the price of a pack of gum for a product that will heighten your concentration, accelerate your processing speed, improve your working memory, lower your stress levels, and promote long-term brain adaptations.

Yes there are cheaper nootropics out there than Mind Lab Pro. Some products currently on the market work out at around $1.10-1.30 per day. Some are even cheaper.

But are they good value for money?

No! Most cheap nootropics are just caffeine pills mixed with worthless herbal extracts.

All of the brain supplements that come close to delivering the kind of benefits that Mind Lab Pro does are significantly more expensive than $1.50 per day. The next most comprehensive stack we have seen costs almost $3 per day.

Is Mind Lab Pro worth the money? We certainly think so. If you value your cognitive performance, then it’s a real no-brainer!

Who uses Mind Lab Pro?

Who is Mind Lab Pro designed for exactly?

It’s worth looking at some examples of people getting a lot out of this nootropic stack before you buy it yourself.

After all, the best nootropic overall might not necessarily be the best brain supplement for you if it doesn’t give you what you need.

Looking at the kind of people who use Mind Lab Pro will give you a clear idea of what this nootropic does. Looking at some user reviews can tell you a lot about the benefits of this brain supplement (which we’ll discuss in detail below).

From what we can gather, this brain supplement is used by:

  • Professional gamers
  • Professional gamblers
  • Programmers
  • Business executives
  • Academics
  • Professional athletes

That’s quite a diverse array of users. Why are so many different types of people using this cognitive enhancer?

Benefits of Mind Lab Pro: Our experiences

Our review team took Mind Lab Pro themselves for 60 days to see what the effects were like.We can say that our whole team was overwhelmingly impressed with this stack, what it can do, and its total lack of side effects.

One thing that became clear during our own personal experiences with Mind Lab Pro was how comprehensive the benefits were for the duration of the experiment. Clearly, the reason Mind Lab Pro is used by so many different types of professional is that it has such a diffuse range of benefits.

Opti Nutra have designed this nootropic to be a complete brain supplement, delivering total cognitive optimization.

As such, they included ingredients which cover different aspects of brain function.

Taken together, these ingredients deliver numerous benefits, including:

  • Rapid increase in concentration and focus
  • Faster reaction times
  • Accelerated information processing and decision making
  • Better working memory function
  • More accurate memory recall
  • More mental energy and stamina
  • Reduced stress and anxiety
  • More mental clarity in the morning

On top of these extensive benefits, Mind Lab Pro also has some more long-term, lasting benefits:

  • More neuron growth
  • More dendrite branching
  • More efficient neuron maintenance
  • Antioxidant and free radical protection for brain cells
  • Better cerebral circulation

These are the benefits of using Mind Lab Pro. We can’t state this clearly enough; for a reasonably priced, natural brain supplement, this is nothing short of incredible.

Side effects: Is Mind Lab Pro safe?

Is Mind Lab Pro safe?

This is probably one of the more important questions to answer, so we’ll try to answer it properly.

Natural nootropic supplements are usually very safe. They are often specifically designed to replace dangerous study drugs and synthetic brain supplements which cause serious side effects. As such, natural nootropics typically present few side effect risks and no long-term health risks.

Mind Lab Pro is a good example of a safe natural nootropic supplement. There are practically no side effect risks with this nootropic, and no long-term health risks.

All of the Mind Lab Pro ingredients have been tested in clinical trials lasting 6 weeks or more; to our knowledge, none have been found to cause notable side effects. None are thought to pose any long-term health risks.

Side effects of Mind Lab Pro

Some of the clinical trials looking at Bacopa monnieri reported a small number of users experiencing mild side effects (related to digestion). Some people also find that Citicoline causes mild side effects if consumed in large quantities for prolonged periods.

With that in mind, it is possible that some users will experience mild side effects while taking Mind Lab Pro. These side effects include:

  • Bloating
  • Gas
  • Stomach cramps
  • Headaches

These side effects are very rare, and if they do occur, they are typically caused by a confluence of factors, not this particular nootropic alone.

To minimize the risk of experiencing Mind Lab Pro side effects, don’t use any other nootropics while on Mind Lab Pro, drink plenty of water, and get plenty of sleep.

CAUTION

It is vital that you do your own research properly before you start using this cognitive enhancer. It looks like an extremely safe supplement to us, but you can never be too careful. If you have pre-existing medical conditions, you’re experiencing serious cognitive impairment, or you have any concerns at all, talk to a health professional first. We are not doctors. This is not medical advice.

Review summary: Does Mind Lab Pro really work?

Mind Lab Pro is easily the best brain supplement currently on sale.

You’ll find lots of hyper-positive Mind Lab Pro reviews online; it is routinely listed as the top brain supplement on nootropic blogs. There is a simple reason for this – it actually works.

Unlike so many of the other brain supplements out there, Mind Lab Pro actually delivers what it says on the label.

It combines tried and tested ingredients of exceptional quality. The end product is a stack that covers every important aspect of brain function. The benefits of Mind Lab Pro include:

  1. Heightened focus
  2. Sustained mental stamina
  3. Enhanced memory function
  4. Faster information processing
  5. Reduced stress and anxiety
  6. Neuroplasticity

This natural nootropic delivers total brain optimization with just 12 ingredients. By choosing ingredients carefully and balancing the formula properly, Opti Nutra can offer a top quality memory, focus and brain health supplement for a very reasonable price.

No other nootropic can offer immediate improvements in cognitive function and long-term neuroplasticity support for just $1.50 per day!

This is why Mind Lab Pro is our top rated nootropic, and why it will probably remain so for a long time.
