This page provides an overview of our on-going projects. This includes our research projects, our supplement reviews, and our bio-hacking guides.
We wont be going into any detail about our on-going projects here. Instead, we’ll be linking to the articles, reviews and research projects themselves. If you want to learn more about a certain subject, you can read the relevant article.
Our projects
What kind of projects do we undertake on Open Health Tools?
Most of our efforts are directed at publishing in-depth guides which help you better navigate the world of biotechnology and bio-hacking. We aim to provide you with informative, accessible, scientifically-accurate overviews of the most fascinating topics in bio-hacking today.
We try to keep abreast of every important topic in biotechnology and bio-hacking today. However, we do have limited time and resources, and it would be almost impossible to cover every interesting trend within bio-hacking. So, we have to focus our efforts on a narrow range of specialties within the world of biotechnology.
So what do we concentrate on in our research?
Joint health
A lot of our work looks into joint health. Specifically, we look at how certain nutraceuticals can dramatically improve joint health, ease pain, and improve mobility.
This is a big subject – a staggering number of people have their lives effectively ruined by poor joint health; they are unable to continue with their hobbies because of joint pain, they can’t move around as much as they used to because of restricted mobility, or their sports injuries simply cause enduring pain. So being able to reduce joint pain and increase flexibility and motility would be a tremendous success.
Much of our research focuses on specific, pre-made joint health supplements. These are premium supplement stacks which (in most cases) combine multiple ingredients in a single dose. These substances will typically have different mechanisms of action. The idea is that, by taking multiple substances at the same time, you attack your joint problems from all conceivable angles.

General health
As well as focusing on enhancing joint health, we also take a look at ways that you can enhance your health more generally through the targeted use of bio-hacking practices. Of course, practically everything which falls under the topic of “biotechnology” or “bio-hacking” can be said to relate to general health, just as joint health is a major part of overall health and well-being.
But on Open Health Tools, we are going to exclusively focus on practices, biotechnology, and supplements which enhance specific aspects of overall health and performance. So instead of looking at things which might be said to improve overall health and well-being in a very general sense (like exercise might), we restrict our research to things which improve a very specific aspect of health (such as mitochondrial efficiency, body weight management, gut microbiome health, or immune system function).
We believe that focusing on specific aspects of health and well-being, and not simply chasing an abstract notion of “wellness”, is the best way to improve outcomes in health, quality of life, performance, and longevity.
