Open Health Tools is all about you.
More precisely, it is about crafting a better version of you with the help of the latest advances in the fields of medicinal, sports, nutrition, and biological sciences.
In other words, Open Health Tools is a place for biohackers – people who want to enhance various aspects of their health and performance by manipulating their biology.
Scientific rigor is at the very heart of Open Health Tools. All of the people who contribute to the site are firm believers in the scientific method; this is the biggest difference between Open Health Tools and the vast majority of sites dedicated to health, performance or longevity.
Proper scientific research always takes precedence on Open Health Tools.
We aim to provide insightful, up-to-date, truly useful information on natural performance enhancement. We publish the latest news from the world of biohacking, as well as advice for natural biohackers and in-depth supplement reviews.
Ultimately, Open Health Tools is a place designed for your benefit.
It is a place where you can avoid pseudo-science, supplement industry propaganda, and hype.
All of the information on this site is backed by hard, scientific evidence. We will always listen to peoples’ personal experiences, but we will never let individual experiences cloud our judgment. Instead, we let clinical trials and peer reviewed papers guide our opinions.
Our experience & expertise
Why should you listen to a single thing we say on this site?
You shouldn’t. Instead, you should read our justifications for what we say and then verify it yourself against the available scientific evidence.
You should never believer what somebody says based purely on their claimed authority or expertise.
Of course, if someone is a leader in their field, then their opinion is worth more than a layman. But you should always listen to someone’s reasons; do not just take what they say at face value because they are an “authority”, especially if their justification is that they are an “authority”.
However, it is still important to know who we are and what our experience level is before you even read what we have to say about biohacking.
The contributors to this site have all received proper scientific education. Between us, we have masters degrees in psychology, biomedical science, and sports science.
We each have extensive experience using nootropics, probiotics, prebiotics, MCT oils, multivitamins, and joint supplements. We have all experimented with these substances on ourselves. Combined, we have around 3 decades worth of experience using performance enhancing supplements.
Over the years we have used lots of different kinds of supplements. That said, we definitely have our strengths. On the whole, we are most knowledgeable and experienced with cognitive enhancers (nootropics), probiotics, MCTs, and flexibility supplements. You can find out more about our experiences dealing with these different health supplement s by visiting out research projects site.
Although we all have plenty of experience with all of the supplements mentioned above, we do have our own areas of expertise. Let’s look a little more at our respective areas of expertise and experience.
Who are we?
It is really important that you know a little bit about the people behind a website.
Of course, knowing who somebody is doesn’t mean you can completely trust what they say. But it does tell you where a person is coming from, and it should make their statements at least a little more trustworthy because they are willing to put their names behind them.
You can learn more about the people behind Open Health Tools on our meet the team page. We also recommend you learn a little more about our approach to research, either from that page or from our page on Ardana BioSciences. Or if you have specific questions about what we do, how we conduct research, and more, get in touch directly here.
