Limbex Review Summary
Limbex claims to be an effective natual joint supplement ideal for reducing pain, cracking, popping, and stiffness. However, in reality it is a medicore, middle-of-the-road joint supplement with some useless ingredients and some major flaws. Limbexis missing some very important ingredients which should be in all joint pain supplements. Better supplements are available for promoting flexibility and reducing joint pain; no doubt about it!
What is Limbex?
Limbex is a natural joint supplement which claims to be able to acutely reduce joint pain, stiffness, cracking and popping, as well as supporting long-term joint health.
According to the website, Limbex can help:
- Joint pain and stiffness
- Joint swelling and “warmth”
- Sleep disruption from joint pain
- Joint cracking and popping
- Joint enlargement
This is a really interesting range of benefits. The question is, does Limbex really do all of these things?
Does Limbex work for joint pain? Is it safe? Will it cause side effects? How does Limbex compare to the best joint supplements on sale today? Read our detailed Limbex review below to find out!
Limbex Ingredient
What are the ingredients in Limbex? This is the mos tiportant question for a Limbex review to answer, since the ingredients determine how well this joint supplement will work.
Here is list of the Limbex ingredients and doses:
- Vitamin C – 50mg
- Vitamin E – 25IU
- Glucosamine – 1500mg
- Turmeric Root Extract – 100mg
- Chondroitin Sulfate – 100mg
- ApresFlex (Boswellia serrata extract) – 100mg
- Bromelain – 100mg
- Pomegranate Fruit Extract 4:1 – 55mg
- Green Tea Leaf Extract – 50mg
- Holy Basil Leaf Extract – 35mg
- Piperine – 1mg
This is what the Limbex ingredients list looks like on the bottle:
So are the Limbex ingredients any good? We will now go through the active ingredients in Limbex one by one and explain what they are, what they do and how they help (or don’t help) with joint health.
Glucosamine – 1500mg
Glucosamine is easily one of the best joint supplements you can take. It is an amino sugar used to create a number of vital connective tissues, such as your ligaments, tendons, and the synovial fluid that protects and cushions your joints. The 1500mg of glucosamine we get in Limbex is way more than we need to see good benefits.
Turmeric Root Extract – 100mg
No joint supplement would be complete without a turmeric root extract. Turmeric is a unique sourc eof a compound called curcumin, which is known to have powerful anti-inflammatory properties. Supplementing with high-curcumin turmeric extracts has been shown to reduce joint pain and improve flexibility in older people. Research suggests that supplementing with turmeric root extracts protects joint health over the long-term. However, Limbex only contains 100mg of turmeric, which isn’t really enough to make a meaningful difference to your joint health.
Chondroitin Sulfate – 100mg
Chondroitin is perhaps the best joint supplement for knee pain and hip pain on the market. It has been found in robust clinical trials to be effective for reducing joint pain in hips and knees, as well as reducing joint aches more generally. Chondroitin is a structural component of cartilage; it forms a water-absorbant matrix around cartilage which keeps it strong, lubricated and able to absorb impacts. The 100mg of chondroitin sulfate we get from Limbex is the ideal dosage for protecting cartilage and preventing joint pain over the long haul.
ApresFlex (Boswellia serrata extract) – 100mg
ApresFlex is a branded, standardized Boswellia serrata extract. This plant extract is the only natural source of boswellic acids. These boswellic acids inhibit the 5-LOX enzyme which breaks down your connective tissues (specifically your cartilage). By inhibiting this enzyme, boswellia serrata extract prevents cartilage erosion, giving you stronger, better functioning joints as you get older. Limbex contains 100mg of this ingredient, which is all you need to reduce joint pain and promote joint health as you age.
Bromelain – 100mg
Bromelain is a great natural joint supplement, and we’re really happy to see it listed as a Limbex ingredient. Bromelain is an enzyme found in pineapples. It is thought to have an anti-inflammatory effect in the human body; by reducing inflammation, it can reduce acute joint pain and ease chronic joint pain caused by a variety of different factors. Limbex contains 100mg of bromelain, which is an effective dose used in clinical trials with great results.
Pomegranate Fruit Extract 4:1 – 55mg
This is the first Limbex ingredient that really confuses us. We don’t normally see pomegranate fruit extract in a joint supplement. The main reason for this is that there is no evidence that pomegranate fruit extracts can reduce joint pain or improve joint health. We certainly doubt that 55mg of pomegranate extract is going to do anything good for your joints.
Green Tea Leaf Extract – 50mg
This is another Limbex ingredient that has us confused. Green tea leaf extract is used in lots of supplements because it has broad benefits, such as promoting weight loss. But there is no hard scientific evidence that it reduces joint pain, promotes flexibility or supports stronger joints over time. In other words, it has no use in a joint supplement like Limbex. Again, the dose is pointless too; green tea extract is usually taken in dose sof 250mg and up. The 50mg in Limbex is never going to do anything!
Holy Basil Leaf Extract – 35mg
Accordiong to some, Holy Basil Leaf can help reduce joint pain associated with arthritis and fibromyalgia. While Holy Basil Leaf is undoubtedly an anti-inflammatory and a source of anti-oxidants, it isn’t a very powerful anti-inflammatory nor a very rich source of antioxidants. There are no clinical studies showing major improvements in joint pain from the use of Holy Basil Leaf Extracts. This is another dud Limbex ingredient.
Piperine – 1mg
Piperine is a compound extracted from black pepper. It helps digestion and maximizes nutrient absorption. Piperine is particularly important to use alongside turmeric supplements, as it makes curcumin dramatically more bioavailable. That said, the 1mg dose in Limbex is a bit weak.
Limbex Formula Analysis: Does it work?
Limbex is a surprisingly effective-looking joint supplement. Judging by the ingredients and dosages, Limbex looks like it is capable of reducing joint pain, increasing flexibility and mobility, and promoting good joint health over the long-term. This is everything we look for in a good joint supplement.
Limbex contains all of the most important joint supplement ingredients: chondroitin, glucosamine, turmeric, bromelain, and piperine (without which there is no point having any turmeric).
However, is it the best joint supplement we’ve reviewed so far?
No. Limbex is not perfect; it has several flaws that prevent it from being our recommended joint supplement.
The main issue with Limbex is the useless, unproven ingredients. It contains several ingredients – Holy Basil, Green Tea Extract and Pomegranate Extract – which do not benefit joint health in any way. These have probably been added to jazz up the label, justifying a higher price.
There’s also some key ingredients missing from Limbex. There’s no MSM, which is a vital part of any comprehensive joint supplement. There’s no ginger either, which has been proven to effectively reduce joint pain; this would have been a better ingredient than pomegranate powder!
Limbex Side Effects
Will Limbex cause side effects?
On the whole, Limbex looks safe. We think it is uinlikely that the vast majority of users will experience any side effects from Limbex at all. However, nausea, diarrhea, or gas may occur in some Limbex users due to the use of unusual ingredients such as herbal extracts and enzymes.
The individual ingredients in Limbex have all been tested in clinical trials using human subjects (just not all for joint pain relief). All of them are deemed safe for regular human consumption. None are thought to pose serious side effect or health risks. Even mild adverse side effects are rare, although they do occur. The real risk comes from stacking all of these unusual herbal extracts, enzymes, amino sugars, and so on.
While we think Limbex is unlikely to cause side effects in most users, they can and will happen to some. Side effects will be significantly more likely if you are also taking other supplements or medications which interact with Limbex.
Limbex Cost: How much is Limbex?
How much does Limbex cost?
Limbex costs $39.95 per bottle, plus shipping and handling fees. Each bottle contains 90 capsules, and a standard serving is 3 capsules, so that $39.95 bottle should last for 30 days.
This isn’t a bad price at all for a comprehensive joint supplement. Of course, Limbex does contain some useless ingredients that do nothing for joint health. We’re also missing some really key ingredients like MSM, Ginger Root Extract or a decent serving of piperine.
But on the whole, Limbex does not look like bad value for money. It isn’t the most effective joint supplement on the market, but at £39.95 a month (without discounts) it isn’t uneconomical.
Limbex Review Conclusion: Does Limbex really work for joint pain?
Will Limbex help with your joint pain?
We think the answer to this question is yes. After doing a detailed review of Limbex, its ingredients, side effects and cost, we think it’s fair to say that Limbex will give most users improved joint health and reduced joint pain.
However, Limbex is still not our top recommended joint supplement, as we believe there are better options on the market today.
Limbex is missing some key ingredients, and in their place the manufacturer has used useless ingredients that have no proven benefits.
If you want a stack to support long-term joint health, reduce joint pain in the short term and help promote flexibility, Limbex is not a bad option. But there are better products out there for sure.

I’ve never found an orthopedist who recommended any of these supplements. I only found this site because Limbex was being touted on TV by an elderly actor who also was touting Colonial Life, an outfit that wants to buy, for pennies on the dollar, insurance policies of elders, in an ad also featuring a dog that obviously is totally disinterested in chasing a frisbee, a boy and girl playing his grandchildren, and a “wife” who also sincerely wants to convince gullible elders to sell those policies.
