Legal

Open Health Tools is formed exclusively as a non-profit trade association, as set out in section 501(c)(6) of the US Internal Revenue Code.  And Open Health Tools is an open source organization, responsible for a growing and complex ecosystem.  This combination means that there is a relatively large body of legal/policy documents governing the range of Open Health Tools’ activities. To simplify access to these documents, they are listed under the following headings:

  • Overview
  • Governance and Membership Documents
  • Agreements and Licenses
  • Committer and Contributor Agreements, Guidelines and Forms
  • Other Legal Documents

Overview

  • Legal and Licensing FAQs – providing answers to some of the more common questions.
  • EPL FAQs – answers to questions about the Eclipse Public License provided by the Eclipse Foundation.

Governance and Membership Documents

  • Bylaws – which describe how Open Health Tools is governed
  • Membership Agreement – which all members sign and which gives an overview of the rules concerning membership
  • Membership Application – for persons, organizations and other entities to apply to join Open Health Tools
