Kestral is an Australian based company that is a leading provider of clinical support software, with a principle focus in the radiology and pathology/laboratory markets. Kestral software is deployed throughout Australasia and South-East Asia. Kestral's market focus has a strong focus on interoperabilty with other systems, including Patient management systems, PACS systems, VR and dictation applications, e-business interfaces, laboratory instruments, and internet based report distribution systems. An outgrowth of this has been increasing involvement in interoperability standards and and open source software, including project leadership of the Eclipse Open Healthcare Framework, and development of various fundamental HL7 and ISO standards, along with implementation focused consultancy and tooling in these areas.
